Dr. Sobel has seen many of our pets including our golden retriever currently and we trust him inherently! His years of experience clearly shine through as he offers suggestions and diagnoses at ease and is able to do most procedures right on side, including dental work. We wouldn't think of going anywhere else by Stirling Vet Hospital and look forward to many more years of Dr. Sobel seeing our pets!

Not really sure how this place has 5 stars. Below is my Yelp review from March 2016....

Couldn't be happier with my expience! Will recommend to all my family and freinds!!

Find another vet. I do not recommend Dr. Sobel or trust his opinion any longer. Use the $60 to see someone better who will actually care for your pet.

**My dog has a 3/6 heart murmur that I only just found out about from a different vet. Dr. Sobel did not mention anything abnormal to me at all when I saw him only two months ago. He openly failed to do his job correctly. Find another vet.

His assistants were kind, but when going to Dr. Sobel's office to inquire about a skin infection my dog had, his assessments were very vague and short. No type of tests were done - just a quick look and a random medication offered. I was finished in under 5 minutes and was upset he did not perform any other type of check up (check the ears, teeth, etc.). He did perform a checkup after I requested, but I was shocked that he didn't perform one prior to me asking since that's his job. I was given a medication for my dog's infection and after she had a recurrence, Dr. Sobel refused to give her more medication unless I payed the $60 examination fee again. Considering I was not happy with the last visit, I did not bother to go back there and found a different medication.

My dog had pain in her lower back about two months later and I took her TWO other vets in NYC who both agree she has a heart murmur at about 3/6 on the scale. I took my dog to Dr. Sobel 2 months ago, and he did not say a single thing about a heart murmur. I made sure to get several opinions, and Dr. Sobel is the only one who didn't catch this heart murmur. I'm very disappointed in the fact that he can call himself a veterinarian and not catch something as loud as a 3/6 heart murmur.

Compassionate and thoughtful care, Dr Sobel and his staff are great!

I have been coming to Dr. Sobel for many years. He has always treated my pet with genuine care and concern. He is kind to the animals and their pet parents (very important). He does all of the things that an animal needs to get the best care there is. You are in wonderful hands! I highly recommend him.
